Slaine Holdings was established in 2016 to support the growth of fee-based and risk-based insurance entities that specialize in catastrophe-exposed property insurance. Slaine Holdings invests in innovative companies with a track record of outperformance that deliver strong results for stakeholders. Currently, Slaine’s portfolio consists of SageSure, a leading MGU in cat-exposed property insurance, and Slaine Insurance Holdings, provider of underwriting capacity and risk management services to SageSure.
A seasoned insurance executive and entrepreneur, Terrence McLean is the managing partner of Slaine Holdings. He is also the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of SageSure, where he oversees operations and guides the strategic vision of the organization. McLean brings more than 20 years’ knowledge and experience in insurance and finance to his current role with SageSure, the largest residential property MGU in the US and a leader in catastrophe-exposed property insurance with more than $900 million of inforce premium. Prior to founding SageSure, McLean held various senior roles at RenaissanceRe’s Corporate Risk Management Group and American Superior Insurance Company.
